Photographer Matthew Andrews has captured Brighton Festival in images since 2001, from large scale performances to intimate portraits of the artists, musicians and writers which make it happen. With unique access both behind the scenes and in the heat of the action Matthew’s photo blog offers an up close view of Brighton Festival.
Matthew’s interest in photography was sparked by the chance discovery of a book of the work of Andre Kertész at the flea market of Place du Jeu de Balle in Brussels where he lived as a child in the 1970’s. He later trained at Saint Martin’s School of Art in London and has been a photographer since 1992.
