I was very disappointed about the Sky Mirror, I went down to see it yesterday (16-05-09) while it was sunny and could not believe my horror.

You could not get anywhere near the mirror to look at it properly, and when I did get as close as I could all you could see was about an inch of the top of the Brighton Dome which at the moment is covered in scaffolding.

I understand that you did not want people to touch it, but I do not understand why you couldn’t just have a small fence around it so we could get closer and also place it in a better position so we could see more through it.

The closes you could get was on the path through the gardens and you couldn’t even look at it directly due to a large flower bed in the way.

After reading all the write up’s online and in the Brighton Festival brochure it looked and sounded like it was going to be a really good idea and give of amazing views.

What a shame that you could only get views of trees from one side or an inch of the Brighton Dome with scaffolding on.

Maybe I was looking at it from the wrong place, so I would love to hear anyone else’s comments as if they is a better place to see I would love to go back and have another look before it goes on the 24th.

The photos are lovely I agree and I am impressed by your self assurance in allowing one to be taken near an ironing board. Even in 2009 it is still a bit of a risk for a woman.
